Mail carriers are tasked to deliver mail in a timely manner no matter how harsh the conditions of travel are. Now, it’s much more dangerous as a pandemic that is inflicted in the U.S while carriers are still expected to do their jobs. The U.S Postal Service is suffering under COVID-19 as the agency is losing money due to the decrease in mail volume. The federal government has refused to give financial assistance to an essential service when it’s needed the most. There’s decrease in mail volume and the pre-existing lack of funding of the agency. The U.S.P.S helps connect the nation by providing services both in urban and rural areas the private delivery services would not find business. While we advocate for congress and the president to continue funding the Postal Office, please support the U.S.P.S by purchasing stamps.
